Good Morning Everyone. I have a small gift for you - a track from the new record I am working on. It will also appear on a New Years compilation, featuring Siskiyou (and others) compiled by the Groninger Museum.

2011 has been a wonderful year, and with only 8 days left until it ends, I recorded this song.

This beautiful painting immediatley made me think of freedom, peace and happiness - so I tried my very best to capture these emotions in the song. I imagined what it would feel like to be in that plane, staring out at the breathtaking landscape below - feeling content and at peace with the world, with only the sound of the wind and propellers to be heard.

It was nearly 6am by the time I was finishing the mix, and suddenly I could hear that the birds had started to sing. So, quickly (and quietly) I rushed into my garden with a condenser microphone, and recorded the sounds around me. This is what you hear at the beginning of the song.

Recorded entirely on a John Lennon mix tape I found in Oxfam *expect for vocals*
