Reena Bhardwaj & A.R. Rahman - Khilli Re Raat Ki Rani
I’m tired of reading those mixed reviews. I must find a way to watch this movie in a cinema hall! I guess that’ll be in a month’s time… :(
Anyway, Khili Re is my pick of the album, the song that best personifies the Rahman I like, with that unbeatable semi-classical entry.
I hope Reena Bhardwaj gets more projects from Bollywood. I’ve known her first via Nitin Sawhney, and then in Rahman’s Meenaxi - I just melt when I hear her!
A.R.Rahman’s much-awaited soundtrack to Mani Ratnam’s Raavan was no instant hit (we all know Rahman’s tunes sometimes need a few hundreds of listens), but I am sure it will grow on me once I see the movie.
Reena Bhardwaj makes a mini-comeback to a Rahman soundtrack and she is as surili (melodious) as ever! Enjoy this brilliantly-sung soothing track of hers.
