I’m thankful to Andy Smith (@asmitter) to have made the Spotibot playlist generator. This tool generates Spotify playlists using the last.fm recommendation engine!

This is just perfect for me. I’m already using Spotify Premium but I’m not satisfied with the artist radios. Plus, I don’t want to pay last.fm just for the radio service. With Spotibot, you can summon a playlist by seeding in a few artists you’re in the mood to hear; drag the list into Spotify; edit it if you want; make it available offline (useful with my shabby wifi signal) and you’re good to go. Each generated playlist is unique.

Audioscrobbler with Spotify’s metadata API have made possible the best of two worlds. In fact, Spotibot comes just next to 8tracks in my music recommendation tools. Give it a try.
